Howard County Balloon Festival at Turf Valley-
On May 16, 2014, two of our team captains (Emily Ferkler and Elena Moncada) went with co-captains of our brother team (7265) to the Howard County Balloon Festival with our school to demonstrate our robot, and promote our school, robotics and FIRST. It was amazing to be able to share something that we care about with the greater community, and many younger children.

Howard County STEM Festival-
On June 8, 2014, our team went to the Howard County STEM Festival! Glenelg Country School had their own room, and we showed some little kids some fun engineering games! This opportunity allowed us to share STEM to young children, and prepare for our own event "Robotineering Night". The games we played allowed us to see which games were successes. At this event, we also recruited two team members, Elise Ferkler and Briana Winfield.

Robotineering Night-
November 14, 2014- We had our second annual Robotineering Night! This year it was co-ed, and we did it with our brother team, 7265. We used the games from the Howard County STEM Festival to prepare for this event. We had a great turn out and the children really loved the event! We demo'd our robot and even allowed the kids to drive it!

GCS FTC Workshop-
November 15, 2014- We hosted the annual FTC workshop at Glenelg Country School. A lot of teams came to the event! We even got a lot of work done on the robot! It was fantastic to learn from the other teams during seminars. Co-captain, Emily Ferkler, even led a seminar on how to plan an outreach event! It was a great event and a great day!

GCS World Fair-
December 6, 2014- We hosted the first annual World Fair at GCS! This was a combination of the FLL qualifier and the International Holiday Bazaar. For months leading to this event, we had weekly meetings with the community service club at GCS. This allowed us to have show the connection between the community and robotics. Many people who came for the cultural aspect, were able to learn more about robotics and STEM, and people who came for the FLL qualifier, were able to learn about one of the most important aspects of our school's mission, the impact on the world. It was a giant event with over 600 people! Our team reffed, worked the information desk, and ushered teams!

Barrie School Event-
February 10, 2015- Elena Moncada, Hillary Hwang, Felisha Lee, and Ashton Brown went to visit the Barrie School. We went to visit middle schoolers who were thinking about starting an all-girls FTC team. There, we showed them our robot and told them about FTC and first. The girls were very intrigued by our robot and asked a lot of questions about being an FTC girls team. We were thrilled to share our story with them, and hope to see them next year at a competition.

MESS Night-
February 24, 2015- Mess Night (Math Engineering Science Showcase) was an event that took place in the Lower School of Glenelg Country School. It was a night for the young students to demonstrate their knowledge about new technology to their parents as well as engage in fun activities and experiencing new machinery. Felisha, one of our Co-Captains, assisted Dr. Boser organize the volunteers for this event and recruited members from both the Dragonettes (7266) and Gear Grinders (7265) as volunteers to help. In addition the Dragonettes made an appearance and showed off their robot, Gertrude! We allowed some of the younger students to drive our robot. They really enjoyed this event, and it was great to see how the Lower Schoolers interacted with the technology.

STEM Education Caucus-
March 4, 2015- Elena, one of our Co-Captains, went to a promotional STEM meeting in Congress. The purpose was to help encourage and promote STEM education in schools. There was a statement from Dean Kamen's testimony regarding electrical power distribution is an example of the sort of problem we are facing in our future, and also an example of the application of innovation and creativity that we will need from our students. Dean and many other speakers made the point that we ALL need to be STEM aware, if not proficient. This was a great opportunity for a member of our team to be a part of!
